Entry fee includes: Event shirt, event socks, aid stations, awards, custom belt buckle for finishing under set time for 100 mile finishers. All finishers receive a custom event mug, food, beer and are eligible for the raffle.

  • If you cannot make the race but find a replacement on or before race day there will be a $15.00 Entry Transfer fee
  • If you wish to change to a lesser distance, you may do so but no refunds or credits will be issued. To change distances, email Dave.

2016 Entry Transfer $15.00
Choose this option if you wish to transfer your Pierre's Hole entry to another racer. Transfers are allowed within the same distance only. Example: 50K to 50K.
  • Complete the top of the "2016 Entry Transfer" form with the information of the racer receiving the transfer.
  • Fill out the "Transfer From" fields with the original racer's information.
  • Only the person who pays for the entry transfer will receive an email receipt. Please forward a copy of the Athlete360 receipt email to the other party as proof of purchase.
  • Entry transfers appear in the Registration List/Roster under the Entry Transfer item.
  • Entry transfers get moved into the race roster periodically. Once an entry transfer is moved into the race roster, the names are no longer visible under the Entry Transfer item.

REGISTRATION WILL OPEN ON FEBRUARY 2nd, 2016 @ 6pm MST

The 8th Annual Pierre’s Hole Mountain Bike Race at Grand Targhee Resort is August 6, 2016.

Camping - will be available at Grand Targhee in the lower parking area. Camping is available Thursday-Sunday for $(TBD) per camp site for the event. Tent and RV are the same price. Showers are included, kids 18 and under camp for free, purchase online or at the Activity Center or the Lodging Front Desk.

Course - The course will have the start/ finish just off the main plaza at Grand Targhee Resort. The course will be marked with blue directional arrows and course tape, starting August 1st. The course is 31+ miles long (1-2 miles of trail will be added in June) with estimate of 3000’of climbing per lap. First lap will ride out the Powder Reserve Traverse road from the start, remaining laps will use Lightning Ridge trail.

1st lap - Ride out Powder Reserve Traverse Road, Left on to Peaked Trail, Climb Peaked to 38 Special Trail.  Descend 38 Special Trail and continue down Mill Creek Trail, to intersection of Cold Springs trail turn right.  Continue to the upper section of Ski Hill Road to Grand Targhee Resort, turn left on the road just prior to the Targhee front gate (parking lot 5) and ride Green Horn Trail to the Targhee base area. Ride the Rick’s Basin Loop counter clockwise, more lap details will be provided soon on this section of the course.

Laps 2, 3 - Ride out Action Jackson and around Buffalo Soldier, continue up Peaked Trail.  Descend down 38 Special Trail and continue descending Mill Creek Trail, turn right onto Cold Springs trail After Cold Springs trail turn right onto to the upper section of Ski Hill Road to Grand Targhee Resort, turn left on the road just prior to the Targhee front gate (parking lot 5) and ride Green Horn Trail to the Targhee base area. Ride the Rick’s Basin Loop counter clockwise, more lap details will be provided soon on this section of the course

Feed Zone - There will be 2 feed zones along the course.

  • Feed #1 - Just after start finish line
  • Feed #2 - End of Cold springs trail at intersection of Ski Hill rd.

Racers check in / meeting - Racer info and check in will be held at Grand Targhee RCR South room (upstairs in main base lodge building) at 6:00pm on Friday, August 5th. Racers will receive bike plates, timing chip and swag bags along with a meeting regarding the course and race. Any racers who can’t make the Friday meeting will be able to pick up plates Saturday morning 5:15am- 6:15am (100 mile) upstairs in RCR South (upstairs in main base lodge building)

100k and 50km race can check in Saturday am from 6:30- 7:45am no later in RCR South room (upstairs in main base lodge building)

The cut off times for racers will be announced on race day. Buckle winner times will be announced at registration.

Post-race dinner - A Mexican dinner will be server in the racer tent, free for all racers. Racers will family can purchase additional dinner tickets for $12 online or at the tent. Dinner will be served from 12:30pm-7:30pm

Awards 50K awards will be at 2:30pm, 100K and 100 mile awards will be at 5:00pm
